Since January 2023 IAPT has been renamed as Sheffield Talking Therapies.
They provide a range of free NHS talking therapies for anyone aged 18 or over who lives in Sheffield. Every year they help thousands of people in the city who are struggling with how they are feeling.
So if you are feeling down, stressed, anxious, are worrying more than usual or have a lack of interest in doing things that you used to enjoy.

What’s in a name? NHS Talking Therapies, for anxiety and depression – the new name for IAPT services
We are pleased to announce that from this week we have added a new Sexual Health Sheffield contraception clinic at our Burncross Surgery Hub. This is following feedback from patients living in this area.
The clinic will offer appointments for the fitting of coils and implants or Depo injections. You can book into the service by calling 0114 226 8888 where our clinical team will discuss contraception options with you.
The Sexual Health Sheffield contraception phone lines are open between the following hours:
8.30am-6.00pm Monday to Thursday
8.30am-5.00pm Friday
9.00am-1.00pm Saturday

Local GP practices have teamed up to improve the way we provide weekend and evening appointment for our patients.
This new service will begin on Saturday 1st October it and will mean that most people will be able to book weekend and evening appointments closer to where they live. For our patients we will be providing appointments will be provided at Burncross Surgery and Fairlawns Medical Centre.

North East – Flowers Health Centre and Norwood Medical Centre

Remote and face-to-face appointments can be made with a variety of GP practice staff including Doctors, Advance Care Practitioners, Nurses, Nurse Associates, Health Care Assistants, Physiotherapists and, Pharmacists.
Initially appointments can be booked through you practice, but we will soon be adding the option for patients to book direct online and through NHS 111.
