Online Services

The NHS app

The NHS app gives you access to a wide variety of services, this includes booking, amending and cancelling appointments, requesting medications, viewing your health records (from 1st Nov 2023). It also enables you to access a wide variety of information and advice.

We have an ‘NHS App Champion’ at the surgery, who will be happy to try and help you with any app related queries. Please send us an online request, or contact reception to arrange a chat with our in-practice champion.

Click here to be taken to the NHS web page where you can download the NHS app from.

See your prescriptions on the NHS app!

Patients can now view their prescriptions on the NHS App, including repeat prescriptions, and one-off prescriptions.

Patients can use the NHS App to:

  • view items prescribed
  • the prescription type (repeat or one-off)
  • who the prescribing professional is

This gives patients earlier visibility of exactly what their healthcare provider has prescribed for them and what they will then collect or receive from pharmacies.

Patients without a nominated pharmacy will also be able to view a prescription barcode in their NHS App. This barcode can be presented to a pharmacist without having to collect a paper prescription from their GP.

NHS App Messages
From the 1st July, all patients who have the NHS app will begin receiving their appointment self-book invites and appointment reminders via their app. This is a new feature being rolled out across the country with the NHS app.
To ensure you receive these messages, please make sure you have your NHS app notifications switched on, see link below for guidance on how to do this:
Don’t worry if you don’t use the NHS app, you will still receive your SMS reminders the usual way.

Online Requests

Follow the link below, to send us an online query. Please note that this is not for any urgent requests, it can only be used for routine queries and problems.

Our staff will review the information supplied, and send you an update within the next working day, providing the request has been submitted during our core hours (8am-6:30pm, Monday – Friday exc Bank Holidays). For anything more urgent, the patient should call or attend practice in person. Please be aware that during some opening hours, telephone calls to the practice will be diverted to an approved ICB subcontracting service.
