Booking an appointment.
You can make an appointment by phone, calling in at reception or online. You can make an appointment with the doctor of your choice if available.
Basic rules for appointments
- If you have made an appointment and then decide it is no longer needed, please ring up and cancel so someone else can have that appointment. We effectively lose 400 appointments every year through people forgetting to cancel appointments.
- Does more than one family member need to see the doctor? If so, please make a separate appointment for each person.
- If you have several different problems to discuss, please ask for a Double appointment. Your doctor only has 10 minutes allocated for each routine consultation and will be hard pushed to deal with too many questions.
- If you want to discuss something simple, have a form to sign or a question but are not actually ill we may be able to answer your query on the phone. Please ask for you GP to ring you.
Online booking of appointments.
Do you find it difficult to get through to the surgery and book and appointment?
We are trying to make things easier by a new online appointment system called
E-mis Access.
You can now book and cancel appointments online.
When first arranging this, there are some initial security steps. You will need to fill out a form at the surgery.
